According to sources cited by The Block, FTX is seeking to sell 22.3 million locked WLD tokens at a significant discount, with a market value of approximately $37.7 million.

According to sources, interested buyers must submit their WLD token acquisition offer before 8pm Eastern Time on Wednesday. Once the offer is accepted, buyers are expected to receive notification before Thursday. Two sources said that the discount range for WLD tokens may be 40% to 75% lower than the current spot market price of WLD, which is currently trading at around $1.69.

It is reported that these WLD tokens will be unlocked daily until 2028. Specifically, between December 1, 2024 and July 24, 2026, 20539 WLD tokens will be unlocked daily; From July 25, 2026 to July 24, 2028, 13689 WLD tokens will be unlocked daily.

Two sources stated that interested buyers must submit their bids for the WLD token sale before 8pm Eastern Time on Wednesday, and added that if their bids are accepted, these buyers will receive notification before Thursday. The discount for FTX's sale of WLD tokens this time may be 40% to 75% lower than the current spot market price, which is around $1.69.

According to Arkham's data, the FTX restructuring team appears to have completed the liquidation of most of the tokens, with approximately $574 million in remaining assets. However, a large portion of it, approximately $523 million, is FTX's own FTT tokens, which have extremely poor liquidity and may not be sellable due to being marked as zero by the asset.
